Welcome to the St George and St Teresa Parish website

Monsignor McHugh

Welcome to the Website of St George and St Teresa, Dorridge.

As we begin 2015 I am reminded of the recent broadcast of President Obama speaking of the new relationship with Cuba. He said of Pope Francis role in this “I want to thank His Holiness Pope Francis, whose moral example shows us the importance of pursuing the world as it should be, rather than simply settling for the world as it is.”

May we all take the example of Pope Francis into the New Year, pursuing with God’s Grace the world as it should be.

I pray that you have a Blessed and Happy New Year.

Monsignor Daniel McHugh
Parish Priest

New Church Bell at St George and St Teresa Church

The new Bell at St. George and St. Teresa – called “Francis”
after the new Pope – will ring for the first time on Easter Sunday.
The Bell – cast to mark the Year of Faith in 2013 – has the
following words on it “Come Ring Out Our Joy to the Lord”;
very appropriate as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus !
