Welcome to the St George and St Teresa Parish website

Monsignor McHugh

Welcome to the website of St George and St Teresa, Dorridge. This is the most sacred time in the life of the Church each year: Holy Week and Easter. We celebrate Palm Sunday, the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, and commemorate the Passion and Death of Our Lord on Good Friday. Then we celebrate the Resurrection  of Jesus on Holy Saturday night and Easter Sunday.

If you are thinking of coming to the Church for one of the ceremonies, the list and times are below. You will be very welcome to attend any or all of them. If you are not able to be with us please be assured of our prayers.

I wish a Blessed and Happy Easter to all visitors to this website.

Monsignor Daniel McHugh

Election hustings arranged by the Council of Churches will take place on 23 April in St George and St Teresa Parish Centre at 7:30pm. The first part of the evening will consist of the questions handed in at each of the churches in Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath - these will be grouped according to themes. The second part will be a follow up of responses to questions and matters raised from the floor.

All local candidates for Member of Parliament have been invited to attend. Parishioners may find the guidance from our Catholic Bishops of England and Wales helpful (see website of the Archdiocese of Birmingham).
